I attended Curriculum Night to get involved with the school community. I was introduced to most of the staff and parents of my students.

I introduced myself to parents as a Teacher Candidate from York University, and that I was looking forward to working with their children during the course of the school year. I also introduced them to the Remind App that our class is set up with. This app allows parents and teachers to send pictures and messages to each other. It is used for sending documentation of student's learning progress and reminders of classroom and school events.

This app has proven most beneficial when communicating with parents on a child's daily behaviour so that there is a partnership between the student's home and school life. This creates an open flow of conversation where the same behavioural interventions may be implemented and upheld to create a steady routine for the child.
